Learning Content Management Systems Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the training and advancement of the PA Leadership Internet school software system (Moodle) and the integration of Moodle into the school community of administrators, teachers, IT staff, students and parents.
- Consults with the Moodle Systems Administrator in IT, the Associate Director of Academics, Executive Management, the School Improvement Committee, Consultants and others regarding the development of improved Moodle practices.
- As a key driver of the advancement of the Moodle system, assists the Associate Director of Academics in leading the weekly Moodle Steering Committee meetings attended by key school personnel, Moodle vendors and the Moodle Systems Administrator (IT).
- Maintains the Moodle Policy Manual.
- Works with groups and individuals in the Academic Department regarding on-going Moodle training and policies
- Conducts training programs for the best practices, general and advanced usage of Moodle.
- Coordinates with key department heads, Moodle training and development.
- Teaches one course to maintain contact with the perspectives of students and parents.
- Finds or develops training programs, including outlines, handouts, tests, and training exercises.
- Develops training for lesson creation, correct settings, policies and grading.
- Supports the Subject Area Coordinators with teacher testing on Moodle proficiency.
- Updates and trains Student Services, Help Desk, and Parent/Student Trainers to continuously improve student and parent understanding of the Moodle platform.
- Travels to satellite offices to train personnel.

Qualifications:

- Communicate with department teachers about expectations of the administration

- Develop a motivated team of subject area teachers who share best practices
- Administer the TDEF evaluation process, coaching, giving feedback, completing annual TDEF reports
- Recommend teachers for retention for the upcoming school year
- Monitor teacher lessons, phone logs, grade books, standards and curriculum documentation
- Assess and evaluate teacher use of technology and pedagogy
